Himalayan Sinus Rinse Porcelain Neti Pot with 30 Sachets, 11 Ounce

The pout hole is terribly small so I'm always forcing my nostril to go around it (lol) BUT the pot gets the job done. It's cleared out all of my polyps that were causing all of my allergy issues. So I'm very thankful that I purchased a good one!

Neti pots are, of course, an effective natural preventative measure during cold and flu seasonI have been using Neti pots as a preventative measure during cold and flu season for many years ... long before they were made popular by the natural medicine doctors.What I like about the Himalayan Institute Neti Pot?It holds 8oz (250ml) of liquid - enough for a thorough nasal rinse!The spout opening is tiny so the liquid pours out with a greater force than other Neti pots with spout openings that are much too large.I sterilize my porcelain Neti pot with hot water after use … an added protection I could not do with the cheaper plastic pots.I won't go into yet another discussion about nasal irrigation - it's well covered in the reviews here.NOTE: If you would like to see the proper way to use a Neti pot, Himalayan Institute has a great video on You Tube. We've been using this brand neti pot for probably decades. It claims not to contain lead and is likely true to its claim, especially since there are no colors used, so cadmium is also unlikely.But keep in mind that all ceramics contain barium in their glaze. Barium is a common and toxic heavy metal and there's no avoiding it in ceramic. This would be 5 stars if it were made of a clean borsilicate glass, preferably made in France, Italy, or the US. I've never been able to find a glass neti pot though so this is what I've settled for. We only use it to ward off an impending cold or to clear a stuffy nose so I'm not super concerned.Contrary to some beliefs, daily nasal washing is not healthy. It washes away the protective friendly bacteria. Adding some xykitol has been lightly studied and is said to help prevent this, and it is supposed to help kill pathogens while protecting the nasal microbiom. Also, never nasal wash with tap water and without adding some natural sea salt to prevent stripping the pH of the nasal cavity. If a cold is coming on I also often add a couple drops of organic, pure grapeseed tincture, a tsp of colloidal silver, and sometimes a few drops of Lugal's Iodine (2.5%, reduce for 5%). I also take 1000 MG ascorbic acid with 500 or so MG of Quercetin, 5-600 MG NAC, 30 MG zinc, 3x a day, and I add a half aspirin to the supplements (if tolerated, and gout is not a problem). The added aspirin is a decades-old remedy said to increase absorption. I've since seen something discounting this, but decades of experience says otherwise.Disclaimer: This is not medical advice, it is based on my own experience.

I purchased two of these for myself and my boyfriend we are both suffering from sinus problems we both were burned in our noses by the packets the pot does not hold 8 oz of water the boxes read the inside instructions there's no inside instructions and that box is to only use this item three times I tried to get a refund they said no I want my money back for these defective items don't order these

I was using a plastic neti pot and it really wasn't as nice. Now that I bought this Porcelain one, I'm so much happier. The design is perfect - sits in the nostril nicely, the porcelain feels warm and smooth on the skin, and the experience is just so much nicer than plastic ones! Love that it also comes with individually sized neti salts so it makes cleaning your sinuses quick and simple. So good during allergy season, cold and flu season, etc to keep sinuses healthy and clear.
