Incredible company! I never write reviews but I have too. First thing I bought from Solaray was Vit D & k2 and immediately felt the effects! Felt a change in my mood right away. Then this is the second supplement and wow ! It is so powerful that I must be deficient in iodine or something because I was formerly taking a zinc supplement from another company but did not feel this good. This brand is the real deal, you can immediately notice their stuff working ! Just ordered my third supplement from them which is magnesium glycinate! I’m Switching over from another brand as I feel the effect are not the best on the one I’m currently taking ! Very excited to switch to Solaray for that as well! Take zinc daily and recently read about the importance of copper. I take one of these twice per week because it has 50 mg of zinc and take plain 15 mg zinc on the other five days. This has zinc, copper, pumpkin seed, and iodine from kelp. I’m getting multiple nutrients in one small capsule.

I had recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis at 46 years of age. I am an extremely health conscious woman and I exercise a lot. (Crossfit, Stairmaster, Running, Olympic Lifting) I have had lifelong symptoms (tiredness, irregular long periods, headaches, depression) that had recently become worse far, far worse. I was getting 11 hours of sleep per night and still needed Rockstars and naps to function. I was almost suicidal. I needed to troubleshoot this issue before having to take Synthroid. I studied all the deficiencies that I thought might be causing Hashimoto's and systematically found that THIS was lacking. After 8-12 days of taking this supplement (along with all my other supplements) I found myself sleeping first 9, then 8 hours per night. My cystic ACNE cleared up. My periods had been extremely LONG and HEAVY with clots for the last 15 years and recently I had my first 3-day period I've had since my teens. My face was apparently swollen as I was told my face looked less swollen. My recent EXTREME GLUTEN sensitivity waned. The constant and painful goiter pretty much went away. After 2 weeks, I am still following a gluten free diet and taking all the other supplements, but I BELIEVE that I may have solved most of the Hashimoto's symptoms. Still undecided on taking the Synthroid. The skies have opened up. Yeah!

People make lots of mistakes with cheap zinc. Having the wrong zinc & copper ratio can do a number on your electrolyte balance. 50 mg zinc : 2mg copper is the ratio peer-reviewed researched as optimal by endocrinologists (look up on PubMed). I'm not a doctor, this isn't medical advice. Do whatever you want to do, but for the evidence-base and the price and the trusted Solaray brand? You want a recommendation? You got it! When my iron levels wouldn't BUDGE from anything rlse we tried, this was the fix. If you're anemic, this is what I'd try before I'd ever touch an iron supplement which can be a very dicey endeavor to find the right dose upon which few doctors seem to agree and unless your other trace minerals and vitamins are balanced, not much will change. It takes quite a long time to see RBC levels adjust and generally all they care is you're "in range". If you're lower-level of normal, yeah... you're spending probably half your time deficient. Blood is sadly the least we'll studied discipline I find. (Translational researcher.) Why? Because balancing it is very personalized and unless you have cancer, insurance ain't paying. Make sure you take your vitamin C and D and watch out for iron supplements. Again, not a doctor, but personally? I see more anemic people who get no benefit from iron, complain they feel like garbage, have their docs blow them off as "borderline" anemic and the suffering, brain fog, insomnia, lethargy... you name it, is just sickening to me. This is your proper zinc. Make sure you balance your potassium, sodium and ESPECIALLY magnesium or just expect to stay out of whack. You are your own best advocate. If the article you read isn't reviewed by an MD or comes from a peer-reviewed journal? Move on.

They have a little bit of a stronger smell of the pumpkin and kelp but it isn’t bad. Nice, small sized pill that is very easy to take. I like this brand and the size of bottle they offer for an affordable price.
