Perfect Solution to Sagging Gate
The media could not be loaded. The sagging made the wood rub together making it almost impossible to open. Gate is only a year old and has already been adjusted and planed twice. The wheels are perfect to take enough weight off the hinges and separate the two gates. Now it’s a breeze to open and close! I wish I’d thought about this sooner.

Exactly what I was looking for to support our yard gate.
Over the years the weight of our wooden gate has worn the hinges, caused the gate to sag, and the latch to not line up. Tried to add new hinges to reinforce, but they were not an exact match, so the pivot points didn’t match up. This gate wheel was exactly what I needed. The spring loaded shaft allows for support throughout the gate swing even bringing the latch in alignment. Super easy to install and such a simple and cost effective fix.

Looks good, no instructions?!?!
Taking off two stars because no instructions. Whyyyyy?!??! All in all it took me about 45’ to install. With instructions it could have been 15’.I struggled most with choosing the correct size drill bit and after some trial and error sizing up from 3/16” ended up using a 5/16”, which allowed the bolts to slip cleanly through. If you want the bolts to screw into the hole then go with a 1/4”. I don’t have a socket attachment for my drill and I wasn’t going to spend 40’ with a manual wrench threading 4 bolts through 4” of wood gate. Also to give the gate support from the wheel, I moved the bracket down about 1/4” from where I measured with the spring fully extended. For installation, I held the spring compressed about 1/2” with an adjustable wrench wedged between the spring bolt and the bracket. I’ve seen other folks recommend a clamp but I don’t have any so had to improvise.

Worked fine, Easy install
These work as advertised. Built well, and was a fairly easy install. Too soon to know how these will weather. I coated the unpainted parts, bearings, axles, etc... with a light grease to help ward off rust. Our drive is sloped. There is about a 2" drop in the six foot length of the gate when opened. It takes up the full vertical travel of the wheel and it does not touch the concrete when the gate is opened... so the wheel locking is kind of worthless for holding the gate open. I have some 1/4" thick aluminum and I think I will glue or bolt a small 4"x4" pad to the concrete where the wheel rests when the gate is opened. This will give the wheel something to grip when the lock is engaged.

Keeps my gate from dragging on the driveway
Earlier this spring I built a gate from pressure treated 2x6's and cedar planks. The gate needed to span 13 feet across my driveway. I built two 6.5' frames with compression bracing at 45* and lap joints at each corner and for the compression brace. Glued everything together with Titebond III and secured everything with heavy duty deck screws. Even with cabinetry style construction of the gate still started to sag, that's the nature of wood and making a wide gate. I added these casters to keep the gate from dragging on the driveway. They installed quickly and I installed them "pre-loaded" about half the travel so the gate always has upward pressure on it. They removed the small amount of sag that had already set in and I hope will keep the gate from sagging any further. I can always add a tension cable if they continue to sag.
