Excellent Product at an impressive price
My wise owl double has finally failed after a year and a half of continuous usage. To be fair, I wore through the stitching and it warned me it was failing long before I was in danger. The material is still in excellent shape. I will be buying a new one and restitching the old one to use as a backup.

Nice Option For Cooler Weather Camping
The Flare Underquilt is exactly what I was looking for to bridge the gap between summer and winter hammock camping. I have camped with it only once but we had perfect weather to test out the limits of my comfort with The Flare. The temperatures ranged from 70F during the day down to 36F through the night. I had a heavy, 8 lb top quilt. Here are my results. At 55-65F I was warm but did not overheat. At 50-55F I was cozy warm and slept well. Around 45F I felt the slightest chill on my bum. At that point, I put a light, 4 lb quilt between my hammock and The Flare. That kept me good down to 36F with just a slight cooling of my backside toward the end. Set up was a breeze and I saw no issues with the elastic cords fitting my 10 foot hammock. I'm happy with the quality and price. Good Value.

Great value for a simple but effective UQ
It's exactly what it says it is. I used it several times now with my WB hammock (no carabiners, no problem! I just put a couple small s-biners on the shock cord for the UQ, and I hook that to my hammock suspension). The adjustment points in the middle are nice and convenient too.Setup is easy and very fast, and before you know it you're wrapped up in a warm cocoon. This works on my hammock when I lay on the diagonal, with plenty of coverage of my feet and my head.No more cold heels, no more cold butt, and no more wrestling with pads and sleeping bags!In combination with my favorite sleeping bag or quilt of the moment, and a properly hung tarp, I'm safe from wind and weather, comfortable and warm with plenty of room to toss and turn.Could it be a little less bulky/lighter? Sure, but that's what you pay for! Even with this 'bulky, heavy, unsuitable for backpacking' UQ in my kit, my base weight comes in at under 16 lbs.Could it be better insulation? Sure, but at this price did you really think you were going to go on an expedition to Siberia? Is it worth it for a comfortable three-season hang in all kinds of weather?Absolutely!

Nice and Snug, Warm on Cool Nights, but Don't Expect Flat Lay
Update: I took this Wise Owl Flare Underquilt on an overnighter where I slept in a OneWind hammock. The temperature got down to the mid 50s. I had a 40 degree down sleeping bag which I left open and used as a top quilt. The underquilt kept me warm all night. At first I wasn't sure if it was working, or if it just wasn't all that cold. But then I would grab the sides of the underquilt and pull it up around myself. At that time, my butt would suddenly get cold, and I realized that, when I was pulling the underquilt up, I was forcing out all the warm air that was trapped inside of it. But it would only take a minute or so to warm back up. All and all, I'd say it does the job on mild, cool nights. But I still wish it were a little wider so that diagonal lay was easier.I bought this Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt to attach to an 11' Onewind hammock I already own. So far, I have only attached it during a practice run in a local park. It comes with bungee cords on either end. I added carabiners to them and clipped them right onto the buckles of my hammock. It fit nice and snug and, when I lay down in the hammock, the sides were all up around me, so I don't think there will be a problem with any air gaps. Because I haven't slept in it yet, I cannot attest to the warmth (see other reviews for that) but I can say that it fits great. The one issue I did have is that it is too narrow to support diagonal-lay in the hammock, which is the most comfortable way to sleep. The underquilt is simply not wide enough for that. But if you lie flat in your hammock, with head and feet facing the buckles, then this should work just fine.

Amazing, warm, stylish, and cost effective?!
It's no secret that for any hiker or camper that Wise Owl has your back. I've continued to purchase their products due to this. The hiking world has become very expensive, but Wise Owl has your back there too!I have a double Wise Owl Hammock that is very comfy, and wanted to see how the Underquilt held up. I can honestly say I'm very impressed! Some reviewers have stated it's a little small on the double, but I cannot replicate. I was worried for nothing! The only thing I can see would be to possibly make it 2 inches longer. Still, it is not needed. It will keep you very warm, and keep you from "cold butt". Paired with their camping blanket as well... I'm in seventh heaven and ready for Spring!

Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt light weight and works good.
The Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt is light wight and it fits my 9'5" hammock perfectly. I did not have to make any adjustments setting it up. I used Carabiners to attach it to my hammock, it was the perfect fit with no air-gaps , the sides pulled up evenly on each side of the hammock to help retain warmth.I Have used this hammock Underquilt for 3 nights with a Snugpak Hammock Cocoon. First night was 33 Degrees F. and I did not feel any cold or coolness on my bottom side or back. Second night was about 39 degrees. Third night was about 55 Degrees F. and I did not get hot, it was perfect. Both Underquilts are rated 40 Degrees F.I know this is not a good test using two Underquilts, but, I get cold very easily, and using only the Snugpak Hammock Cocoon in 40 Degree F temps my bottom side and back gets cold. This is the why I bought the Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt. The Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Underquilt works perfectly for what I needed this for.Update: 4/8/2021, I spent a full month using this underquilt every night, and still using it about 3 times a week. It's held up fairly well.Issue: one of the bungee cords is starting to rip out, and causing it to sag, Its not as snug as it was, causing a gap allowing cool air to leak in. I'll try to to sew it back together.
