Wow! Great quality!
This is actually a lot nicer than I expected it to be! It's made out of a durable grippy rubber bottom like those quality mouse pads, and the top is slightly textured. At 3x5 its a great size too! Perfect place to put all my miniature houses and set pieces. Now if they only could make a cobblestone version for cities!

Lines are subtle enough to not distract. Looks great and is durable

I hope it's OK.
The package arrived open. From what I can tell, the roll is still in the plastic, but I won't know for sure until Christmas. This is supposed to be a gift. I'm disappointed that I have to give it in this condition. Also, it ships in this box. Do not have it delivered to your home if you want it to be a surprise. Thankfully, my neighbor got to it before he did.

very large, feels good, but grid is definitely very faint.
I'm not sure what the best use for this is. It's too big to fit on one of those standard white plastic banquet style tables that many places have, if you're hoping to use it at an organization, like at a library. The grid lines are also very faint and hard to read in places. I've considered going over them with some kind of pen or marker, since I'm playing D&D and not really something where you use a tape measure. I DID use it once for Frostgrave though. Again, had to push together a couple tables though.

A swing and a miss
When I saw this battlemat online, I was super excited. It looked amazing. I planned to buy all three versions: Grasslands, forest, and arctic. Once it arrived I liked that it seemed really heavy duty, but the play surface was kind of like a felt fabric. The forest graphic was a bit darker than I expected, which obscured alot of the grid lines, which could have been a good thing, but this was too much. The graphic also did not seem to be too high in resolution either. All that would have been fine, but then I saw the wrinkles in the felt surface. It was immediately obvious that these were not going to be something that would reduce in severity over time. They were numerous, deep, and distracting. I began wishing I could get a battlemat with better graphics more along the lines of the D&D ultra pro playmats. That would be perfect!Well, lucky me! I happened upon a youtube video reviewing the Monster Fight Club battlemat (available is several sizes, and with or without grid), which is exactly what I was hoping this WizKids one would be. Got it in the mail today and it is AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and check it out. Not yet for sale on Amazon, but you can get it from a number of online game retailers with a quick search. Sorry WizKids, you struck out on this one, I don't know how this design blunder made it past any kind of quality control. Returned.

Not a battlemat, no matter what the listing says
Let me preface this review by saying I love Wizkids Mini and paint them all the time. Their Icewind Dale Papercraft is also top notch. This Tundra battlemat is however a great dissappointment. First off it is felt, you cannot use any sort of marker on it and expect to erase it later. This makes this far less useful as a battlemat. Furthermore, once I unrolled it, it continued to have creases in the surface that was very noticable even after a few days. I returned it and got my money back.

Low quality
The media could not be loaded. Mat is very thin, low resolution, grid squares are very difficult to see and the creases are very bad. Also you can not write on this if that is your thing. I honestly think this would hurt the immersion of your play group.
