How the Body Works: The Facts Simply Explained (DK How Stuff Works) Hardcover – May 3, 2016

I love hard back books. What I think I really like about this book is that it's fun. It's organized and has important facts, but has a fun way of explaining the processes. I would highly recommend.

If you’ve read a Dk book before, you know what you’re going to get with this company. Perfect for people just starting out and extremely helpful to look back on for more advanced students. Detailed images and colorful diagrams make it great for kids too (when they’re ready for “the sex/death talk”). You could write books about the subjects this book covers to fill library’s with, so they can only delve so deep. There are more advanced books on the subject that focuses better on different topics for someone more advanced, however you will be pleased to have this book on your shelf for school/work and for any medical or academic purposes. In short buy it you’ll love. I love Dk and think they do a great job.

This book is very detailed and covers everything about the human body in a very detailed, yet easy to follow format. Like an example of this is it explains a cell with a great picture showing the nucleus, mitochondria, glycosomes, etc.The structure of the book is very well done too. Skin, muscles, cells, DNA, the heart, feeding the body, chemical balance, the mind along with a lot of other things to help explain how our human bodies work.I have a much better understanding of how the body we all have works after reading this book. Even better than the Anatomy and Physiology class I took a couple years ago in college. I really think that class would have been easier if I had read this first.

I love the way this book explains things in a more simple form then my actual Anatomy book! The photos help as well! I saw this book at Barns and Noble and it was 20$ there but is a good place to check out the book! I would suggest purchasing here on amazon for the book was only 13$!

It's a great book for kids to learn how body works. There are enormous pictures. It's informative and very detailed. My kid say it easy to read for him. But the problem is, it's lack of questions which can guide kids to keep reading and find the answers. It's not attractive enough for my 9 year old. Since I got it at a very good sale price, I still think it a great deal.

Was searching for a medical book and found one that explained things with print that a Senior citizen could see,and interesting illustrations that helped one to understand various conditions within various organs of the body.Example: The Eyes: illustration of the eye-ball, with macula, retina, blood vessels leading to the brain, etc.I've purchased a few of these books for Christmas gifts. Good work!

Love this book. Detailed, easy to read, and the images make this book all worth it. Also, the price is not bad at all for the amount of knowledge one will gain by reading this. Decided to get this before starting a nursing program and it's absolutely perfect.
