These tablets are slow release and are multi-functional meaning that not only does it release chlorine it also keeps the water clear using algecide, and aids in controlling the PH level. the tables come in a bag and then each 50 tablets are sealed in their own bag meaning you dont have them all opena nd going bad. the tub itself its well made and secure, it would be hard for children to open and once sealed i imagine it is goot at preventing water ingress or smell egress. will definately be buying again when i eventually run out. i think i use around 5 tablets a week for my 12ft round above ground pool and it keeps everythign at the right level in a floating chlorine dispensor.

Chalky residue
Think I had a dodgy batch. Dissolved quickly and left awful chalky residue which meant I needed to clean pool filters twice within 24 hours.
