This was a favorite toy of my siblings and I when we were kids back in the 90s so I was excited to get this for a young creative kid whose parents one request was that I not get something with batteries. This was perfect for that. This toy is great for creative kids who enjoy both building and playing. The design is really simple so as long as your kid is around 5+ and or has an imagination and good hand/eye coordination, they should be able to build it themselves quickly. This particular track set isn't super complicated, so it should stay together during play as well. If you want to keep on gifting expansion sets, this is great for that as well as it is compatible with pretty much any brand. Great toy imo.

We bought this 6 months ago for Christmas but at that time she was too young and not particularly interested. Now at 2, she loves this and it's lots of fun and we can play with it for long periods of time. ONE pretty big problem...there are no pieces that are female to female or male to male. This severely limits how creative you can get building tracks. This is our only complaint. This kit needs at least two connectors where each connecting end is the same. Manufacturer, please take note. Otherwise, this would be a five star review.

Box was destroyed but toys were fine.

We bought these as an expansion for my son's track set. It's a different brand, but they fit perfectly. He loves being able to build much larger configurations now.
