The Python Audio Cookbook 1st Edition

This book does look really good. I'm only one chapter in so far. I am going to dock a star though because the installation process of Pyo wasn't really explained the best and took me forever to do it. The author does state that you need to have an older version of Python so I did that. However, apparently when I tried to install Pyo, pip was still trying to use the newer version of Python. So what I had to do was uninstall the new version of Python, delete some folders, and had to remove paths from Environment variables in order to get that to work. I also installed quite a bit of unnecessary stuff in the process as I couldn't figure out how to install it.

The authors background is key here and his background with both creating musical works and doing it with Python... this book is for those of us who are in IT but walk a fine line between other fields. I personally work with robotics, audio, game development, meta/virtual works. This book has a nice blend of both the down to how-to with Python and using it in practical examples.For every 20 books I buy I usually find one that resonates very well and achieves what it suppose to. One book that goes on my shelf and will actually be used. This is one of them.
