Good product- Good Price!

My mom had a stroke which has left her right side paralyzed. She is in a rehab nursing home and she was complaining about the shower and potty chairs they were using for her. She is 5’, 175 lbs and the chairs they have are for much larger people. She wasn’t able to sit up correctly and her feet were dangling. It was causing her more undue comfort and pain. So I got this chair because 1. Reasonable price. 2. Wheel size for rolling 3. Foot rest 4. of course being dual shower/potty chair and 5. It fits over a toilet. It works perfect for her and the CNA’s love it.She says it’s like sitting in a chair, the cushioned seat is comfortable and it rolls nicely. I am very glad it works so well for her. when she comes home I’ll be her caregiver so it will be a huge help for me too.It was easy to put together and is very sturdy.I am grateful it was affordable as we are both on a budget.

Great shower chair!!!

Bought for my sister and it was the most useful thing of the hundreds of things I purchased for her over the years. As a shower chair it was so easy to use and gave her the support she needed while I bathed her. It has many advantages. I highly recommend.

Difficult to put together, horrible instructions but nice and sturdy if done correctly.

My father had a stroke that left his right side paralyzed. We couldn't fit the wheel chair or Sara stedy through the bathroom door. This has helped out so much. It fits through the door, into the shower and over the toilet. The instructions might as well just said here's what the pieces look like figure it out yourself. Horrible instructions. But once u get all the washers in the correct spot it all tightens up well and is very sturdy. I seen a lot of reviews that said it wasn't sturdy. But if you put two washers with each screw it makes it all fit together nice and snug and it wont be flimsy. It comes with a L tool and a weird wrench which makes it difficult to hold the bolt in place and turn the screw at the same time. This also makes it hard to get it tight. But with enough patience and strength ours turned out very sturdy. My dad is 247lbs and it works great for him.

Quality control issue

Overall appeared to be a good quality item however, while putting it together, one of the support bars did not have drill holes in it on one side, thus making it impossible to secure. On the positive side there return policy was very good and a replacement chair was sent out immediately. Just waiting to receive it to make sure it can be assembled

Perhaps the Best Shower/Toilet Chair on the Market - but NOT Perfect

The design of this chair is part wheelchair (function), part toilet chair (bucket & lid included, or simply position the chair over your existing bathroom toilet), and then wheel it effortlessly into the shower. One chair for all functions. Frame & wheels are metal, the seatback is plastic, and the seat itself is cushioned for comfort. Every home health aid we've hired has raved about this chair as being superior to anything they've used.PROs: (1) Great 360-degree wheel rotation; (2) Wheels can be locked to prevent a roll-away; (3) Flexible enough to use as a wheelchair, toilet-chair, and then shower chair; (4) Two-person assembly suggested; (5) Comfortable padded seat cushion has removable center (for toilet use); and, (6) Easy to clean.CONs: (1) Build for a smaller statured person; (2) Footrest is positioned too high for comfort; (3) Too many screws that are uncapped (should include caps in assembly kit); (4) Seatback height is not adjustable; (5) Chair arms are NOT removable for patient transfer; (6) Toilet bucket is mounted very close to seat thus protecting the genitalia is critical before bucket can be removed; and, (7) Chair MUST be towel dried after shower use to reduce rust/corrosion on the metal parts - especially the wheels.

Very useful

Bought this for an elderly person and it was great for toileting and showering in one chair. Easy assembly

"DO NOT wash the entire chair, which should remain dry at all times"???

A good value. Not bad to put together - but it's not a shower chair. Instructions say "keep dry at all times", and several reviews note it rusts easily. The 3 bags of nuts, bolts, washers, and the included assembly tools were daunting at first, but the instructions clearly listed what was included - and it wasn't awful after figured out the part about putting a washer on both sides of the bolts. The simple tools included were adequate, tho a second pair of hands and a drill driver would've been nice. Noted belatedly the instruction recommending leaving bolts LOOSE until everything in place. GOOD ADVICE. If you tighten everything down and then attempted to attach the back rest as I did, you will have to go back and loosen a few bolts to squeeze the back rest into place and then tighten all. That said, once everything is tightened it's sturdy and rolls easily on hard surface; on thick carpet, not so much. We have a 2 inch threshold to get over to get my mom in the shower. It's doable but not easily. No "tilt rod" to step on at rear to assist in getting over that or other threshold within our home.Seat/Potty seat, at 21 inches, is too high for greatest ease in plopping my 4'11", 95 pound mom into the chair. Unable to stand or walk on her own, she has to be picked up under arms and raised to standing position and then plopped on the seat. With her current, adjustable-height potty chair set at 18 inches, it's a simple up, pivot, and plop down. The height NOT being adjustable on this chair, with her small stature and weak legs, for this chair she has to LIFTED, especially to get her far back enough to be properly seated over the opening to the bucket, which hangs a couple inches below the actual opening, Note: if person and pot not positioned carefully, there could be spills. Toilet opening may be standard size but looks small, not as well-suited for men as an elongated seat and was not a good fit for my petite mom who had trouble sanitizing herself and getting waste paper through legs into the bucket. All in all, sturdy and a good value, but the non-adjustable height and small (but sturdy) wheels makes it not well-suited for our situation. Going to look for one with larger wheels, either lower or height adjustable, though will pay a premium for those features. Big bonus on this model: the flip-up/down foot rest.Odd note: The instructions, under the "Maintenance" section, say "DO NOT wash the entire chair, which should remain dry at all times." For a shower chair?
