I’ve had this thermometer for about a year and used it for cold water swimming about once a week. It works fine ( it seems accurate compared with other thermometers), has a clear reading window and a nice long string attachment which I just tangle up in the riverside plants and read when I get out. Great value for the price!

I bought one 6 months ago and unfortunately this ended up floating away in the swimming pool as the rope attachment failed.Nonetheless, this is easy to read, cheap enough to buy and monitors pool temperatures accurately. Hence, I bought this second one to replace the first.

I can't speak to it's absolute accuracy but its working really well. It sinks to submerge well and is easy to read.I don't think absolute accuracy is key as you're going to judge the water temperature from how it felt at different temperatures according to this. I now know how cold/warm the water is going to be before I get in.

Poor quality and inaccurate

I had to weight the end with a small weight so that it floats horizontally. Without the weight it floats vertically which gives an inaccurate reading.Otherwise ok. Easy to read and not too expensive

I bought this thermometer to check sea temperature when swimming but, unfortunately, does not read below 10° even though it can go down to -10°! Have just done an ice check but it doesn't go down to 0° . Worked in the freezer! Disappointed as not fit for purpose and have just missed returns date by 4 days!

Worked well until this weekend (14mths) when the thermostat tube inside became lose.I cannot seem to open it up to restick to holder.

Very easy to use and good. I just found this quite sturdy and easy to use. I attached it to the stairs that went into my swimming pool and it took a very good reading and I found it to be consistent. Very reasonably priced is why I like to buy things, but I was surprised to find it so sturdy.
