GREAT taste and Low Calorie

Melba toast is so delicious with butter and jam. Or with sour cream and jam. With any type of butter and/or jam really.

These are amazingly thin slices of toasted bread. Similar to other products labeled "Melba Toast" they're significantly thinner than the Old London brand (and Dorchester brand which is about the same as O.L.) The package is more tightly packed than O.L. making a heavier box. You also get 6 pieces per packet instead of 5 as in the O.L. brand. For their tiny size, they have great flavor of fresh toasted wheat with a nice crunch. While it is not uncommon to encounter a cracked or broken piece here and there*, I've only encountered single breaks or cracked into 3 pieces, which can usually be salvaged. If it weren't for the "supply chain" issues that have hampered delivery of the O.L brand to my local supermarket, I'd have never discovered two competing products (See also The Baducco Original Toast) that satisfy my snack needs so well. (PS I rate the flavor of these just behind the Baducco toasts, due to their "buttery" flavor -- but these are pretty darn good, too.)*Packaging and rough handling in transit plays a big role, so it's always possible to get a "worse than average" shipment.
